I have a scott mongos release. The strap is good with no gloves or coat. When I put on gloves and a coat the botom strap ( velcros) only over laps about a 1/4 inch. I have never had a problem because the top strap is longer, but I would feel more comfortable if the bottom strap over lapped more. Do They make a bigger strap, if so where do you order one. I love the release! works great!
