I don't agree with the nails in the board. That just don't sound right. Yeah, it may be a deterrent, but it may cause infection. These game animals deserve our respect and poking their paws with nails does not seem like the best idea to me. I can't help with any great ideas, but maybe setting up an electric fence around it would be a better? If it were me, I'd switch to just making a ground blind with natural materials. That or just take SWThomas' advice. LOL!
