Yeah I have a Burris Fullfield II also and I have to say I love this thing. I also have a Leupold VX-I and it's my least favorite of the scopes I've used Simmons and Tasco included. It's been sent back to Leupold 2 times for repair in it's 2 years of use. I've had it about 2 and a half now but it hasn't been used much recently. It's clear enough but no clearer looking to me than the Tasco I've used. A few friends looked through both when I got it and said the Tasco looked clearer to them however, I couldn't tell a difference. It seems to lose zero too easily for me. I just don't like it.

Then I picked up the Burris Fullfield II to replace it. I got it for $200 at Dicks Sporting Goods last year with a free Garmin eTrex GPS. It's super clear. I never had a problem with the clarity of any of the scopes but after looking through the Leupold and then through this this one just looks amazing. It does really well to me in low light. I could see things in low light looking through it I couldn't see with my eye. Seems to have held up and held zero throughout last hunting season. Since then I haven't used it much but last time I shot it it was still sighted in. Overall, I haven't quite had it a year so can't comment on how it will last but so far I love it. I like it way better than the Leupold I had and it was cheaper too.

That being said if you need a cheaper scope I've also used a Simmons 3x9x32 on a .22 rifle that was great. Not quite as clear as the Burris to me but clear enough. Not sure that it was as good in low light but I never used it in low light anyway. It shot great and took a ton of abuse and was always still dead on. This may just be my favorite scope. It's hard to tell between the Burris and this. This one was a lot cheaper and I've used it for 5 years or so. The Burris seems clearer but also cost a lot more and I've only used it for not quite a year so I can't comment on how it will be in 5 years. It also hasn't taken nearly the abuse this Simmons has.

Then I've used a Tasco 3x9x40mm that was like $30 or something at Wal-Mart. I never had any problems with this either. Always seemed to hold zero and honestly I liked it better than the Leupold I used. I'm not sure how this thing would hold up over time but I've got buddies that use them and like them too. This is another cheap alternative.
