No the rifleman does no have angle compensation. You can go back and buy the Nikon Archery Pro or whatever its called, but I believe that only ranges up to 99 yards, so if you plan to use this for rifle season it would useless at longer distances. *Edit, just checked cabelas and I was wrong. The Nikon Rifleman 550 DOES have angle compensation. I could have sworn the Nikon 550 did not have angle comp... May have been an older model...?
Actually, the angle compensator would be beneficial for a guy who is hunting in severe terrain, say needing to figure out how to aim on a severe downhill or uphill angle, but for most of our applications, we really don't need it.
