I was anti mech for a long time, but last saturday I took my first buck, a little 8, with a G5 tekan. (pics and all to be posted later tonight) The broadhead performed awesome, but my bow was tuned to shoot darts with muzzies so I knowI had maximized my KE when I switched to mechanicals. I think a couple things happened to this guy, all things that he'll learn as he hunts longer. Who doesnt make mistakes when there learning how to do something new? The first was not broadhead tuning his bow. Second, I dont know his set-up but personally I dont think anyone with less than 70 KE should be shooting a rage two blade. Finally he didnt wait enough and pushed the buck. The buck I shot saturday went 60 yards and I heard him crash and gurgle blood, but I still waited an hour out of habit.

To the guy who started the thread, lesson learned, its all part of hunting, now get back out there and put your tag on one!
