Default Gander Mountain false advertising

Went to Gander Mountain last night to purchase the black synthetic stocked 12 gauge H&R Ultra Slug Hunter they had advertised for $199. Called ahead and they said they had one left. They put my name on it and I headed down there.

Upon arriving and being shown the gun it was NOT a USH. It was a black synthetically stocked, rifled barrel (SB1) H&R with scope rail alright - but no bull barrel. Just a regular thin wall barrel. This thing weighed probobly 1/2 what a real USH weighs and IMO with the thinner shoulder pad would probobly be painful to fire 2-3/4" slugs not to mention 3-inchers.

I complained. I said this isn't an H&R USH. I showed him a real (SB2) 12 gauge USH from the rack where it is clearly stamped ULTRA SLUG on the big bull barrel, unlike what they had for $199 which has no stamping on the barrel. He ran the SKU # and sure enough it does not come up as a USH.

I told him that was a problem because I was pulled into the store by the promise of a black synthetically stocked USH for $199. I want a USH and for $199 - that is what I drove there for. (The USH on the rack would suffice. It was wood stocked, but was an actual USH. $279) So he gets the MOD back there and she sez she understands the situation but she isn't going to drop the real USH $80 to the advertised sale price - I'd have to speak to the store manager tomorrow (today) after he gets in at 1pm.

I hope they see the err of their ways. I am VERY suprised it hasn't come to someones attention. I mean the sale paper is widely distributed and someone else has had to have noticed this or a bunch of people were sold what they were led to belief was an USH but isn't.

I hope this store manager has a good, decent hear on his shoulders and not just a hat holder.

I'm getting tired of dealing with gun shop BS. After the last fiasco with my nephew and his dealings with Rink's Gun Shop in Lockport, IL I will say that I wouldn't go thru their front door again even if it was to escape a stampede.

Now this poop.
