Yep, ugly and loud and not much chance of a second shot if you miss. I've heard plenty of bow hunters talking about missing with the first shot (and sometimes even a second), but then drawing back again and making the kill. Don't hear that many similar stories from C-bow hunters. Once you consider all the variables, it all balances out.
Of course, that little reference to a gun leaves out the fact that the C-bow doesnt involve gunpowder and a 180 grain lead projectile going at 2500 feet per second. But, who's keeping track of minor details like that
