I tried them years ago--quality was a problem. They started out pretty good, but went downhill hard and fast. Pretty sure everyone I knew of making them went out of business.
I think Hildebrand will be who I try next.

Was the wood the problem? was the wood actually what went down hill or the quality control? I guess what I am asking was it the wood or the processing that created a poor quality of shaft?
