Default RE: Peanut Butter??

I tried it once and attracted every squirrel and coon in the county to my stand. I' m not saying a deer won' t eat it but i' ve never seen one eat it. I' ll tell you what i have used that i know they will eat. There is a peanut plant near my home and they have alot of scraps left over from processing the peanuts and you can buy the scraps for a couple of bucks per 100lb bag. It' s a mixture of peanuts, peanut hulls and lots of salt. I' ve never seen or killed a big buck that was eating the stuff but i' m sure they do because i' ve seen smaller bucks and does beat a path to it and litterally tear up the ground where i poured it. I usually find an old stump that is somewhat hollow and just pour it in the stump and the deer will just about dig the stump up when it' s gone. I don' t know if it' s the peanuts they' re after or the salt. I do know they will eat peanut plants and i' ll hunt a peanut field over a bean or corn field anyday.
