GETTING RID OF THE BOWTECH!!!!!!!!
Hey guys,
I am thinking about getting rid of my BowTech MightyMite. The more I shoot it and the more I shoot my best friends VFT, the more I realize that I want a longer a.t.a. bow with VFT!
Yesterday, after about 20 shots from my bow, my groups went from 1" at 20 yards to about 3" at 20 yards. I then picked up his bow and shot a dozen arrows and I was shooting tight groups again.
I have also noticed that I don' t torque the bow until after it is shot. Whenever it is shot, the bow kicks to the right. It is enough to through my arrow about 4" to the right every once in awhile.
Another thing is that I had one string leech fly off, so, I broke the other one off and my bow is making a pretty loud TWANG noise.
The reason I didn' t spring for a VFT style bow when I got mine is that they just didn' t feel right at the time, but, the more I shoot them now, the more I like it.
I am going to give the MightyMite until this weekend and if I keep building up my frustration, I will be selling it and buying a new BowTech.
I am not sure which one yet, I really am looking at the Patriot SC and the Extreme VFT! The Pat Dually is too harsh for me, and I don' t want to go over the 36" a.t.a. range. I just want something a little more forgiving than the MightyMite.
Which would you guys choose, the Extreme VFT or the Patriot SC and what do you think I could get out of my 2002 MightyMite with a brand new Winners Choice String, Fletcher Tru-Peep, Simms Limb Savers (30" draw module and 70 pound limbs)
Now I know how Rack feels all the time [:' (][:@]
