Actually....size is NOT a good determination of a doe's age. The biggest does in a herd are typically 2.5's and 3.5's.
I tend to agree with this.I know I killed a very large,loooong nosed doe that field dressed 139#'s.I sent the jaw bone off to the state for examination and the results came back she was only 2 1/2.
