UPDATE:
Back from the range this weekend. Problem solved. It was the action screws. Both were loose enough that they tightened about 1/3 of turn when I put the muscle to them. Groups shrank and homey is happy again. I put 5 shots in a group about the size of a tennis ball at 100yds. Wish I could post pictures but that will have to wait until I've got more time to master that technology. From now on I will monitor that a lot more closely (I've got another rifle thats acting strange...might have found the answer). I think the synthetic stock may be more prone to this as well, but anyway......again thank you ol kind sirs and a special thanks to Spaniel for posting that great response on the other tread about pillar bedding. I'll try that when I get a chance in the future and now am confident that I'm keeping this gun for the long haul.
