Default RE: ballistics for 50 caliber knight

In my Knight USAK using #11 caps I' ve found good success using 300+gr bullets - PowerBelts or PR QTs & Extremes.

I' ve found that using 80gr of 777 powder works great with 300gr sabots or Powerbelts and 90gr of 777 with 350gr sabots or 348gr PowerBelts. According to Hodgdon' s chart - these loads are approx. 1600fps at the muzzle. I' ll sight them about 2" high at 75yds - figuring I' m good out 125yds. For 200yd shots - you better be about 4" high a 100yds. But only trial & error will tell you the exact drop to expect.

Personally - I limit myself to 125yds or less..........more sporting for me, plus less chance of a lost animal.
