bg I would say the guys sayin 40" are about DEAD ON. I built a 4' x8' shootin house a couple of years ago and put three hydraulic typin chairs in it for company or my sons and the windows are 36" from the floor. With the chairs all the way down I am ok, but my father in law missed a deer because he said he couldnt get low enough behind the gun (lol that or he was just nervous because I was filming it and it was about a 275yd shot). I have since noticed that while it doesnt bother me, my next box will have 40" windows in it. The hyd chairs are nice for kids/smaller shooters, they can still shoot from the taller windows.
