Definately not a must! I typically only wash my jacket/pants 2-3 times at most per season. Just use a earth cover scent, and thats it... Deer all over me all season long.

Hunt the wind, and when they are close, be smart. Once they get in soo close no special suit etc. is going to help, just a little luck imo.
