I agree with the rest of them. I would never even worry what a scope told me about my rifle's powder charge. Sight the rifle in, not the scope to the rifle.
Drop your load down to 2 pellets. And with them Barnes it should be deadly accurate. Very few rifles I own shoot best with a magnum or max powder charge in them. Most of them tune in with a charge much less then a max charge. That .. my rifle shoots 150 grains, is a gimmick to get you to buy it. Same as the scope.
With loose powder, start at 85 grains and work the load up. 85 grains is plenty of powder in my book. Be sure you swab the bore between shots. Keep everything as consistent as possible when you load and shoot.
I shoot a Remington Genesis with the stainless steel barrel. With Barnes 250 grain MZ Expanders, and two pyrodex pellets.. well I am just amazed at the rifle. Three shots at 62 yards last winter was one fat hole. I never shot a group like that in a long time. When I shot three pellets, the group opened up a lot.
Once you find the load the rifle likes, then worry about the dots in that scope. Maybe the first dot will only be 121 yards. So what! Its an amining point is all it is. And if the second dot is 179 yards.. well you have a second aiming point. Most game does not walk out in the field at exactly 150, 200, 250 & 300 yards anyway. I personally use a Nikon Omega, but without the aiming dots on my Genesis.
