While I somewhat see your point Jeff, I'm a very FRUGAL hunter myself. I pay on average about $65/dozen for my arrows once I have them finished out, but they are also .003 straightness, and quite consistent.....
3 of 15 I've shot with the same arrows, all 3 of these were shot with different bows.
But if the arrows he's buying are inconsistent spine and straightness wise, then he's certainly wasting his time.
