most bows now days are going to be built very well. i agree that matthews leads the pack, but don't feel like your settling by getting another brand or something cheaper. there have been many bows of all price ranges that have arrowed many deer including trophies. as long as you practice and can hit where you aim, it does not really matter what name it has or how much you paid for it. personally, i would recommend Parker
