RE: why is the ibo making up rule as they go
I don' t know all the fact about who called what when, but I had a 12:40 shooting time Saturday and my room overlooked the starting point for C and D courses. I saw no groups heading out, I wasn' t really wathcing but " normally" you would see the groups head out. At 11:00 we went for a walk to see what was up and found out about the cancel. They had no choice on Saturday due to the later folks wouldn' t have had a chance to finish. At 11:00 they had a 3.5 hour delay going. Last groups scheduled for around 2:00, that moves them to 5:00 or later.
Personally I think one thing they should have considered is having everyone shoot Sunday, my family left Saturday and we would have left if that were the case, but it would have been more fair to the shooters. I would like to know if this was a possibility or not, there may very well have been reasons for not doing this.
I won' t be sending hate mail out or any such thing, at least until I get more of an explanation from Ken about what decisions were made by who and what the thoughts were.
I love it at snowshoe, its turned this into more of a family event than the others I have been to at Clymer. Everyone can stay right at the mountain, no driving needed. At Clymer, if you weren' t right on the site, you were 45+ minutes away.
Oh well, my kids had a blast with the pool, euro-bungie, mini-golf and the movies (a great addition this year).
