We went huckleberry picken today because there was rumor that the forest will be closed this week. We noticed quite of few roads that had closure signs due to the fires. Conditions were smokey as heck and visibility was very limited as the mountains were abscured by haze. Seeing and hearing choppers is common anymore. Temperatures have dropped to the 40' s in the night and high 80' s (f) thoughout the course of the day so its not so unbearable like it was a few weeks ago, but were not out of the woods yet.
