only to find out the while taking a shot on a record book antelope that because someone tied my kisser button wrong my arrow flew way above his back only to watch him run off probably never again to have him with in bow range again.
Am I reading this corectly? The first shot you took after having work done to your bow was at a book goat? And your wondering why you missed?

Don' t blame the shop if you didn' t practice with your rig before you went hunting.
Theres lots of good info available to you right here. Have you read Eastons tuning guide? Download and read it here.

Nub, I know this is my first post here but please give me some credit.[

] No, that was not the first shot I took. I had work done then would shoot 50+ arrows only to go out the next time and after only a few shots something would come un-done. The last time the string completely came off my Cam. That was the final straw. I have since taken my bow to a different shop over 50 miles away had a new string/cable put on and have vowed learn how to do it all myself rather than risk injury most importantly, and/or miss due to someone else' s mistake, lack of attention to detail, or any other possibility. At least that way if something does go wrong I have no one to blame but myself. I used that as a scenario, I just want to learn the right ways to do all my own maintenance on all my bowhuting equipment now just my bow but arrows, rests, strings, ect.....
