Im going to be taking my son out hunting for the Wisconsin Mentor Program this year and was wondering what most would recomend for an 11 year old about 90lbs wet lol. Hes an excellent shot with my high power pellet gun out to 45 yards and his bow so I have no doubt hell be able to hit a deer with a gun. Just debating if I shoudl try him with a Rossi or NEF single shot 20g or take him up a notch and look for a single shot 243? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I started out I used my grandpas old Sears 20G Goose gun with a 32 inch barell and 2 3/4 slugs, what a mule. Im thinking of somthing a little more tame. And I know he wont be able to handle my 12G. He might be able to handle my .35 Rem but im not sure. HELP!!!
