Default Would you eat these catfish?

Ok, so me and a couple buddies were out on his pond gigging frogs when we started to notice alot, and I mean alot of dead fish up along the banks and floating in the water. Most of the dead ones are little blue gill and such, but there are a few real nice catfish and bass. Like a couple I couldn't believe were actually in his pond. So, we're ridin around in the boat looking for frogs when we started to notice catfish up in the shallows slowly moving around. So we go up and gig em. We end up getting 13 catfish like that and about 18 frogs. But my question is, do you they they are alright to eat or do you think they were up in the shallows to feed or to die? We were wondering if it was lack of oxygen or some disease that may make the fish not worth eating. Any help is appreciated.
