Default RE: truths about shooting from a stand??

I' m no where near an expert on this matter, but what was previously mentioned is excellent advice. My .02 is to put up a stand in your yard if you have the land and a suitable tree, then shoot into a 3D deer. If no big trees, a flat garage roof will do the trick.

My parents have 8 acres so I had the luxury of hanging a stand in a huge black walnut tree that' s just under 25 yards from the stables. I then put up hay in front of the stables and my 3D deer in front of that. I shoot on the ground anywhere from 10 yards out to 40 yards, but won' t shoot over 30 when hunting. Shooting from the stand into a 3D deer a lot really helps you see EXACTLY where your arrow will go through the deer. Sorry for being longwinded..
