When you say you want a "40 power or better yet a 50 power" are you referring to the objective size in MM I assume? A 3-9 X 40 is a traditional scope and will be fine. If you want a 50 that's fine, but what is your selection criteria? I'd recommend doing some internet research first to see exactly what features you want / need / or desire to pay for. Check S.W.F.A., The Optic Zone, Optics Planet, etc. and read the info and reviews. Good luck.
