Yesterday in the late evening a glassed a nice bear. I decided to take him. The shot felt good, but he did not go right down. He ran down into a brush choked canyon and made it into the timber. I went down in there with a flashlight and cut his sign. He is not bleeding much, but is loosing chunks of meat. After nearly opening fire on a couple of black stumps and bushes being blown in the wind I climbed back out of there. This morning I am going back in. So far all my freinds have to work. So it looks like I am going it alone. Say a prayer that the beast is dead, and that I come back alive.
