When I was a kid in Pa., it seemed that every second hunter I met had a Rem. 760. Usually they were .30-06's, but .270's and .308's were also popular. The club I belonged to had a sighting in day about 2 weeks before the opening of deer season, and I helped sight in many 760's. The accuracy of some of those pumps was amazing.
I had a pair of .30-06's and reloaded for several others. I used standard RCBS dies, and never had a problem.
