The .223 is NOT a "500-700" yard coyote killing caliber. It just don't have enough punch that far for anything more than a prairie dog. Gonna have to step up to at least a .24 cal. to have enough energy to dump coyotes, if you can hit them, at 500-700 yards.
..........Let alone wind problems with the lighter bullet at those ranges....Go heavier...At least 24 cal.
