It all depends on your location. The earlier the rut, ( as in down south) the earleir the antlers harden. In the upper Midwest, they should be hard by mid to late August, because they will shed velvet aroubnd the first of September. They will add 1 inch per day total gtowht until the quit grwoing.

TR. in most of the midwest including on my property in OH. the bucks are done growing by July 21 1st., here is some pics during this time period over the last 3 years .
