I think it depends on why you are going Elk hunting. IF you are going to kill an Elk and that is the most important objective, then I would think you would want the X force with you so you have the extra yardage. If you are going to enjoy the hunt and not taking an Elk is okay with you, take the longbow and hunt your butt off.
I like that answer , thanks Kickin_buck . I love every bit of the experience , if i get an Elk it a bonus . Just to be in America , Colorado hunting an Elk is amazing . Of course i'dlike to get an Elk , but i'm realistic and know the odds .
Whichever i hunt with ,i will give it my all .
