I re-barreled a Ruger 77 MK II with a Montana stainless steel barrel in .270 Winchester. This rifle consistently shoots .5 to 1 MOA. Last February, on a very cold and calm day, I was able to shoot a .490" six shot group, and a .181" three shot group at 100 yards, both groups center to center. These groups were shot with hand loads, 55 gr of H4831SC, 130 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips, Winchester Case, and Fed 210 primers.
I had a local gunsmith install the barrel. I'm considering re-barreling a Remington 700 with a 7x57 Mauser barrel from Montana.
