In the Sept/Oct or is it Oct/Nov issue of Heartland Magazine, my outfitting business, River Valley Outfitters is a featured articled entitled, " Flock Busters" by Joe Byers. We had Joe, a outdoor field editor for some major magazines along with two other writers out for fall turkeys. As luck would have it, we did get into some major flocks on our properties and Joe scored on a fine fall turkey and wrote a feature article on us for Heartland Magazine. I' ve had the pleasure to see a preview of the article prior to print and I am honored. I' m anxious to get my copy. If anyone of you get Heartland, or can get it, let me know what you think. I do know the magazine has 1.5 million subscribers......wow.

The two other writers have promised us print as well when the time demands it. One missed a fall longbeard on sheer excitement and the other saw dozens of birds but didn' t pull the trigger. It was a great two days.
