Hot off the presses from Levi's Momma ....

Friday, July 10, 2009 12:35 PM, CDT

Well today went pretty good. Levi is sore though. We should have results by Monday on if his bone marrow is free of cancer, the other test results take a few weeks. That will show what percentage of the marrow is the donors.
Good news- Levi can eat grapes now! He's been wanting to for a while. Bad news- they won't consider his immune system well until a year post-transplant. That means he will have to keep some of the restrictions and nearly all the medications that long!
His immune suppressant is being dropped down today. We will have to wait and see how that goes. The dose gets dropped slowly. If it goes well, then two months after that some restrictions will be lifted. We've made it this far, praise God! We look forward to jumping the next hurdle in a few months.

Anna leaves for camp soon- we are going to miss her. I'm sure Levi will be lonely without her. It's going to be too quiet around here!
