RE: The trouble with a White Rifle..
I ordered my sizing dies from LEE Reloading Company. I got a .504, .503 and a .501 along with a .452 as they will not do such sizes as .5045 I was told. So I can make bullets with the molds I have, like the UC short mags or REAL bullets, and size them to what I need, or I can size down Bull Shop Conicals. I also cast a .457 405 (actually a 423 grain) flat point that I size down for my .451 WhiteModel 97.
All my bullets are pure lead. The sizer and press was cheap IMO and it works really good. It also lubes my bullets at the same time. I apply the lube, run then through the sizer and they come out to size and all the grooves are filled real nice. Then I just have to clean the mess up.
UC told me about opening up the standard mold, but I never seemed to have that kind of skill, so instead I just pay to have it done for me.
Semisane.. I see that they are on sale again. I am tempted to buy a couple and just have around the house for rifles that I decided to scope. That Pro Diamond seems tuff as nails and it has good glass too. For my kind of shooting it works great.
