Predator Evolution Pattern
I just got in my new edition of Predator camo today, I have been using predator for years and swear by their patterns in my neck of the woods. I thought about it, emailed predator a few times and then decided on the Evolution Pattern. Never having seen it besides the web so when I opened the package I was a little suprised at the base colour, it seems very light compared to the pics I have seen...in the cream/yellow base vs. what I thought was more little brown! They said that due to the 11 earth tones it works well in everything from pines to dessert...yeah right I thought but what the heck I' ll give her a boo.
I am wondering if anybody has used this pattern and what terrain?
I wanted it for early season, as I have the brown, greys and dark browns covered for later in the year with fall brown, deception and fall grey. I was hoping this would replace my old set of spring greens for the pines but am unsure. Predator rep, said I should be able to use it in all season for my area, since he lives in Manitoba and has hunted Saskatchewan on a yearly basis therefore knows the terrain I hunt, but I am unsure. I hunt mostly popular and willows stands, some hay fields for deer. Up north for moose, elk & bears it is mixed but a lot of populars & diamond willows, except where we hunt bears which has a lot of pines. My main reason was for an up coming elk hunt in the river valleys in north eastern sask in 2 weeks. This area is prodimantly populars & birch trees on the ridges, with diamond willows down along the valley and river bank...trees may be turning yellow by then but I would guess a lot of green will still be around.
Anybody use this pattern in similar terrain?
