I would much rather take my time and make one well placed shot than just spray and pray with some semi-auto.

However, onefarm thati hunt on has so much hog damage that the landowner wants hogs shotfast; so a repeating rifle is needed. My friend and i are shooting them by the truckload once a week.
Most of my hogs have been killed with a muzzleloader.Atnormal hog shooting distancesmy .50 muzzleloaders doas good a job on hogs and as a .308 or a .300 Win Mag-maybe just a little better.
