Hey folks, I have the oppurtunity to pick up a Remington 760 in 300 savage. I'm not familiar with this cartridge though. Is this cartridge closer in performance to a 270 or 30-06? Flat shooter? Long distance? Accurate?? Brush buster? Anyone have this gun and cartridge combo and if so how do you like it? Is it a common cartridge that could be found in any store around the country and in out of the way shops? What grain are factory loads for this gun? Any input would be helpful as I think I will need to make a decision soon. This gun has a bushnell Banner scope on a weaver mount, 3x9. It has the letters PAZ stamped on the barrel. Anyone know what year that would have been for this gun? Thanks
