Default RE: Bow Mount VS. Hip Quiver???

Buddy I' d stick to the bow quiver myself. I used to use a hip quiver and there were alright. I walk hunt and quite often go through alot of thick scrub. With the hip quiver the arrows were constantly getn snagged on vines and sticks[:@][>:]. Whereas with the bow quiver you only had to worry about getin your bow through the bush coz the arrows were stuck on the side of it. One less thing to worry about.

Another bummer about the hip quiver is I lost numerous arrows because the have a tendancy to fall out[:@][:' (]. It can get quiet expensive and frustrating lossing arrows after not even letn em fly at wild critters.

My last point. In the case of an unexpected encounter with a critter you wouldn' t mine shafting with an arrow you want as least possible movement as to lessen the chance of it seeing you. With the bow quiver the arrows are right there on the bow so you don' t have as much hand movements to nock an arrow. Where as with the hip quiver you have alot more hand movements to get the arrow and nock it.

As you can I don' t much like them hip quivers. If you practise with your bow quiver on your bow then you will learn to shoot with it on without even noticing it. I don' t even notice my bow quiver when I' m shooting, not even the extra weight.

The only downpoint to a bowquiver is that when the wind picks up the quiver catches more wind making it alittle harder to keep steady. But I find it doesn' t make that much difference coz you learn to shoot when fighting the wind.

Hope I helped. Happy hunting.
