Default RE: .257 weatherby magnum

I love my .257 Wby, which is a Remington 700 LSS Limited Edition that I did get a really good deal on by buying it from a dealer on Gunbroker.com.

My rifle shoots 1/2 MOA with 100 grain Barnes Tipped TSX bullets over 71.0 grains of IMR-7828 with CCI Benchrest primers. Can't tell you the velocity because my chronograph is still busted, but the book says it should be running about 3500 fps from a 24" barrel (mine's 26"). What I really love about it is that it'll shoot to a +/- 3" max point-blank-range out to 340 yards with a 295 yard zero.

I haven't taken any game with it yet, but I'd imagine that it'll be lightning death for deer. I also wouldn't hesitate to pop a coyote with it either. I don't know how much pelt would be left, but it'd be dead real quick.

I've also just loaded up some ammo with 110 grain Nosler Accubonds, but I haven't shot them yet to know how well my rifle likes them. If they do well, they'd be a backup bullet to the Barnes if it wasn't available.

Here's the rifle:
