Just thought I'd share a few pictures of the black bear I took with my bow a couple weeks ago in interior Alaska. Not a huge bear by any means, but it was the biggest one that had been checked in for that area this spring, out of 6 or 7 others. Squared right at 5'9" with a skull just under 18". 20 yard shotthrough the boiler room and it didn't even phase him. He just trotted off a ways and looked around like something had spooked him. He ended up going about 100 yards before he piled up. Luckily it was fairly open timber so it wasn't a hard track job.
