i owned a 270 handi rifle for 5 years, it shot great and i got a deer every year with it. i sold it to my brother inlaw last year, only because i saw their new surviver with bull barrel in 308 and a thumb hole stock. had to have it and its a keeper too, got a deer last year with it and will shoot 1 inch groups or less at 100 yds. with federal 150 grain. i highly reccomend them, now my 270 i had shot best with 130 grain remington corloct, my brother inlaw is a winchester fan but when he tried those his groups opened up to about 2 1/2 inches, he went back to remington now their at slightly over 1 inch. their great guns for the money, and will serve you several lifetimes if you take of them. just like any gun tho they will like certain loads, i got lucky with my 308 the first loads i tried was the federals they shoot great, didn't do to hot in my 270 but the rems. did.
