59f - The NEF is an inexpensive rifle with a lousy finish, butt heavy stock and they are a bit on the ugly side. But they can really shoot. Probably by far, the cheapest to shoot (centerfire) would be the .223. And that would be just the ticket for what you plan on using it for. Good luck.
