I took my first one this last season it was a mallard drake and I shot it at Tule Lake NWR in Northern California and was banded in Marysville California about 3 1/2 hours south and was too young to fly and was like 3 years old. Didnt even know he had a band till I pulled him out of the waters I coulda died I never thought I would get one and I have only been hunting ducks for 4 years. Oh and it was a special mid season junior hunt and my last junior hunt that I will never forget.
