Deer eat soybeans while they are growing, they use the leaves, when they get a little higher( Middle to end of July)deer will leave them alone until they freeze then they will come back to eat the beans. Beans are an attractor for early in the year. They drive farmers nuts up here in Wi. Figure about 20 % loss to deer.
