The most effective bullets placed right will eliminate tracking all together. Also while we talk about the most accurate bullet it does not mean that because a different bullet shoots a half inch bigger group that the deer will ever know the difference at normal ranges. I have run into a few bullets that just won't shoot out of a certain gun; I for one would not even consider using a bullet for hunting that would not group in 2.5 inches, but since most of them will if you work with them its not a problem.
