RE: Homemade Mineral Recipes
I go to my local grain elevator and get a generic cattle mineral mix by the 50 lb. bag, and 50 lb. bags of trace mineral salt. I mix 2/3 mineral to 1/3 salt. The mix costs about $0.20/lb., and works like a charm. It's the easiest and least expensive way to mineral deer. Has most of the same stuff in all the expensive name brand stuff.
I typically put out about 2,000 lbs. of mineral per year. If I go with the name brand stuff, I'd have to give up a couple morgage payments!
