Well congrats on the tag, we drew 16B this year after 3 years of trying. Are you going guided ?? Personally I believe that gear is the most important..have a good, and I mean good, pair of hiking boots. I wear Danner Pronghorns and the give excellent support. Always have a roll of duct tape that way if you do get a blister, you can wrap it to help it from getting worse. Invest in a good pack (ex: Badlands) for your essentials.


This is a matter of personal opinion, but I suggest that you shoot an arrow with a total arrow weight of 400 grains and shoot a fixed blade broadhead.

PS. Watch some Primo's elk video's to get the blood going and learn a few pointers as they are good for giving them.
