Default Pellet Gun Question?!?

I recently bought a Gamo Big Cat 1200 .177 cal air rifle and I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer.

When I first got the gun I shot GAMO's BPA RAPTOR ammo, (the gold ammo that's suppose to make your gun break the sound barrier) and lead hollow point pellets. When I shot the BPA ammo I got the sonic "crack" that was described on the ammo's package. Then about 5 days later I go to shoot the same ammo again and no super sonic "crack"? The only thing that I can think of that may be causing this to happen is that I shot about 400 lead pellet in between the first time I fired the BPA ammo and the second time. Could me shooting 400 lead pellet weaken the spring and in turn lower the F.P.S.?

I'm in a quandary, should I keep the gun or return it? I don't want a gun that will get weaker and weaker as I fire it.
