Default RE: 30-06 vs 7mm rem mag

Stubble
The actual costs listed by the suppliers that I referenced prove that the 7mmremmag heavy mag loads are only $6 to $8 a box more than the 30-06 light magnum loads,so the heavy magnum loads are not really far higher than the light magnum loads.
Scott
The pricing I gave were lists prices from the hornady site and was responding to your quote above and I pointed out the costs of the heavy mag7mm are far higher than the standard 06.
I guess you dont know what standard 06 means?

Except that the performance is not nearly identical.
At 400 yards the 7mm heavy magnum load drops 3-1/2" less with a 200 yard zero, and at 500 yards the difference is over 7" compared to the 30-06 light magnum load.
Coincidentally, the difference between the standard 30-06 165gr interbond load and the 30-06 light magnum 165gr interbond load are virtually identical.
That is nice and all but the poster I was responding to specified 250 yard shots. What does that trajectory look like?
