While I admit $500 is to steep for me to upgrade my LW for a new one.. The comment below sounds like someone who bought a$79 stand from WallyWorld.

Anyone dumb enough to pay that deserves to get ripped off....never understand the prices on the lone wolfs to start with.
Did you ever carry one? Climb a tree in one? Get off the trail far enough that you had to pack a stand in more than 50ft ?

Maybe then you'ld understand. [:-]But then again maybe not .
